Today’s Friday Gratitude will be short and sweet. It’s quite simple: today is my husband’s Andy’s birthday!

Andy, thank you for your love, expressed in so many different ways.

Thank you for your witty comebacks, never taking anything too seriously, and bringing more laughter into my life.

Thank you for the gift of your photos, chronicling not just our life together but your creativity, passion, and ever-increasing talent.

Thank you for cooking and doing the dishes far more than your share.

Thank you for your silly dances.

Thank you for the snuggles and putting up with my flailing limbs.

Thank you for letting me in.

Have a great weekend, everyone! We’re both working today, but I’ve got some plans for tomorrow and Monday. What do you have lined up for this weekend? What’s your favorite way to celebrate your spouse’s birthday?

Thanks Lisa- it’s funny, he’s not a big birthday person, but he’s literally the most well-loved person I know. We had fun tonight!

Happy Birthday to Andy! It was short, but really thorough too. And beautiful. My husband turned 40 last year without a huge party. I would like a huge party for when he turns 42. (He’s a sci-fi geek who loves that number)
And eventually when I turn 40..I want a trip to Alaska. (but I’ll take dinner out too) By then I’ll have teenager and an eight-year-old.
